Jurij Fiore e Figlie 2024 Alta Valle della Greve Lassu' A Lamole

A blend of Trebbiano, Famoso, and Chardonnay fermented whole cluster in stainless steels before aging in a mix of old oak, new oak, and stainless steel. Before even knowing that Jurij Fiore had worked in Burgundy in the 90's, I immediately thought this wine smelled like Aligote. It has a tingley lemon / lime sort of acidity and great texture. Although white grapes were kicked out of the allowed blend of Chianti Classico 20 years ago, now we get to appreciate incredible white wines from some of our favorite Chianti growers. No complaints here! Since this growers is new to the US, there is not much white wine to go around, but we tried to secure a modest amount for you today.
