Perrin, Celine 2023 Ladoix 1er Cru "Les Joyeuses"

Domaine Celine Perrin has been farming organically since 2003 with Ecocert certification since 2008. This excellent parcel is a continuation of the Corton hill, adjacent to the Corton 1er Crus. Their influence in the premier cru site Ladoix brings us the delightful 2023 bottling “Les Joyeuses.” Showing pale garnet in the glass, this wine brings beautiful red berries on the nose, including ripe raspberries and strawberries. The palate offers medium acid and body while delivering crisp and clear minerality, followed by ribbons of red berries congruent with the nose, ending in a persistent finish. The vinous quality of this wine struck me as something one could put in the cellar for future enjoyment, or drink at your next bistro night with friends. I recommend buying 2-3 bottles today, one to enjoy in the near future and another one or two to enjoy in the years to come. - KG
