Vera de Estenas 2024 Bobal

West of Valencia in the high-altitude plateau of the Utiel Requena region, the old (55-90 years old) Bobal vines that produce this wine sit at roughly 800 meters. Each parcel is picked separately, which is evident insofar as the wine displays a nice balance between the ripeness one would expect from such a sunkissed region, and well-integrated acidity. The wine is aged in concrete for 3 or so months before a further 5-6 months in used French oak barrels. The result is an inviting, rustic, big red wine with cozy notes of dark fruit and spices. A true value.
