The La Santa vineyards are in Tacorante Acentejo, on the northern part of or Tenerife, just east of the Valle de la Orotava, where Envinate's 'Migan' and 'Palo Blanco' come from. Tacorante Acentejo is the first D.O. established on Tenerife, and the 3 plots here are mostly sandy clay over red basalt. Each plot was fermeneted separately and blended into old French oak barrels for 8 months of aging. Fermentations were a mix of about 50% whole cluster, with a small amount of carbonic maceration, all in concrete. The final blend is about half/half Negramoll and Listan Negro with a very small percentage of Listan Blanco. A lovely wine in '22!
