Curtaz, Federico 2021 Kudos Etna Bianco (Arrives 7/21)

Federico Curtaz had a vast wine background before starting his own namesake project in Sicily in 2015. He collaborated with Angelo Gaja in the 80's as an agronomist and then migrated to Sicily after falling in love with its culture and wines.

Kudos is a very special wine from 100 year old vines of Carricante from the prestigious Rinazzo contrada on the eastern side of Etna near Milo. Milo's high elevation, and cooling winds from the Ionian give it this grand cru designation called 'Superiore'. Meyer lemon, orange blossom, pear, tropical fruit, stones, tension, length, and great mineral character. 

it spend further time aging in neutral barrel- emphasis on the neutral as pure fruit and minerality is important here.
