The 2023 Newfound Gravels is 100% Grenache, primarily from Cemetery Vineyard in Mendocino and Yount Mill in Napa Valley. It is made with 100% whole clusters and spends two years a single 68-hectoliter neutral wooden cask. It shows pretty cherry fruit over great mineral depth with very fine tannins and balanced acid. A steal at $30, this is a versatile food wine and works well in a variety of settings.
