The Delaporte Sancerre "Silex" Rouge comes from old vines on the Sancerre hill on flint soils that give a lovel freshness to this beautiful Pinot Noir. A beautiful ruby-crimson colour with reflections of black cherry. The aromatics are intense, with red and black fruits note
dominating, bright and pure with a bit of oak. On the attack, the wine is round and silky but quite bright and fresh, really a delightful Pinot to drink now, but perhaps best 2030 to 2035.
