The superb 1er Cru vineyard "Les Charmots" is on the south/southeast facing slope north of the village. Claudie has a tiny parcel of 105 year-old vines which are tended by horse or by hand, with replantings by massale selection. Capable of long aging, the 2023 shows a light red/garnet color with delicate very floral aromas of red berries, very fine and elegant."Serve ideally with game, braised or roasted, or a piece of beef. Naturally enjoys the company of cheeses with developed flavors: époisses, langres, soumaintrain but also comté."
