Turenne 2025 IGP des Maures Rose Aubregades

Domaine Turenne makes a tiny quantity of this 100% Grenache rosé - it's a taste of "old Provence" says winemaker Philippe Bénézet, with a long 2.5 month maceration and aging in acacia barrels, giving a deep color and more complex aromas and flavors than a normal rosé. Stylistically this is similar to wines from Domaine L'Angore or the Tavel "Tete de Cuvée" from Chateau de Manissy. The plots border the Maures massif—one of France’s oldest mountain ranges, composed of schist, gneiss and granit. The surrounding biodiversity and nutrient-poor soils create natural conditions favorable to organic viticulture, giving a more pronounced mineral character to the wine. The aromas are very expressive and floral with cherry, pomegranate and spice notes that continue on the palate with light tannins, making this a great food wine that will accompany full-flavored grilled foods, charcuterie, mountain cheeses...
