(Arrives 6/11) The Mosse family is making superb natural wines in Anjou, and the 2022 Vin de France "les Bonnes Blanches" is a classic example. From a famous vineyard composed of shallow decomposing schist and quartz on schist bedrock. The roots of the vineyards' 40 year old vines can get exceptionally deep, providing an unparalleled amount of minerality in the wine. Produced with minimal SO2 and aged in old Burgundy barrels. The wine shows beautiful floral aromas of quince, pear, citrus, nettle, almond and stone. The palate begins with fresh acidity, opening to lemon and lime, white fruits, herbs and minerals, remaining subtle, pure and fresh, with terrific length  - a real Chenin of terroir that will accompany a wide range of seafood and chicken dishes and mild cheeses. Serve cool, but not too cold, over the next ten to fifteen years. (Best after a few days open if drinking now)
