Emme Wines 2024 Amando El Sol Colombard

In the past this has been a blend of Chardonnay and Colombard, but in the 2024 vintage Rosalind was excited enough about the quality of the Colombard to make it a single-varietal wine. It comes from the organically farmed Ricetti Vineyard in Redwood Valley. It's a testament to how well Colombard and other Mediterranean varietals can thrive in California's coastal terroir, with beautiful acidity and mineral depth that make it one of the more refreshing yet elegant wines we've tried recently. The nose is delicate and pure, with outstanding freshness and energy. It's a great summer white, perfect with fresh seafood, tapas or other light snacks.
