40 year old vines on clay-limestone soils with eastern exposure. There is a slight change in winemaking here as David now uses 30% new wood with the remainder being 1-5 year old barrels aged for 13 months before an additional 3 months in tank before bottling without fining or filtration. This cuvee has less fruit on the nose and higher levels of spice with fine tannins.
