Sourced from the Fornace vineyard located at 400 m in elevation. The soil here is made up of rounded stones mixed with finer soil. It is a silty/loamy mix which holds some water but allows for drainage. The soil here is moderately deep with high pH and is also high in limestone. Ambient yeast fermentation in concrete vats with a 35 day maceration on the skins. Aged for 36 months in large Slavonian oak vats.
