Clar just keeps getting better! Every year, Ruben has been dialing in a precise, complex, and simultaneosly easy-going style for this white wine. Majority Xarel-lo (80%) with Chardonnay, Malvasia de Sitges, Parellada and Garnatxa Blanca. A fresh wine but with dimension, partly due to short, infusion-style maceration (without pump-over or extraction) with the skins for several days, which gives a touch of fleshiness to the mid-palate. There are faint floral notes, most likely from the Malvasia. We highly recommend for all refreshing white wine fans, and especially for anyone interested in regional whites from around Barcelona.
