Rijckaert 2020 Arbois Savagnin

This wine is a true hidden gem. It so happens that it has been aging in bottle for the last 3 years at the domaine awaiting a foreign importer to receive the vintage. They eventually said they could not bring it and when the team at Terrestiral tasted it on their last visit and were offered the wines they excitedly said “yes!” Before being bottled this wine was previously aged for 15 months in old barrels (70% 10+ years old and 30% 5-10 years old). A beautiful representation of the grape with a more rounded, medium body with great texture and long finish. Rijckaert traditionally does not make an oxidative style of wine, and this is true for this Savagnin.
