Trapet 2023 Bourgogne Rouge

Made from young vines within the AOC of Gevrey-Chambertin on clay and limestone soils. All grapes are hand harvested and sorted in the vineyard as well as in the winery where up to 10% of the crop may be rejected. Traditional vinification with native yeasts in open vat fermentation. They use 30% stem inclusion. The wine is aged 30% new French barriques.

Lovely notes of red cherry and plum along with bright raspberries. There is a great tartness on the palette that show a nice spice quality. Drinking well now!
