Huet 2025 Vouvray Le Mont Moelleux

"Like those of the Clos du Bourg, wines from Le Mont are long-lived, despite the soils here being deeper than those found at the Clos; the roots of the vines must penetrate several metres of earth before they hit the limestone bedrock beneath. The soils along this section of the première côte are a greenish clay mixed with fist-sized lumps of flint known as perrons; together, the clay and flint is known as perruches." 2025 Le Mont Moelleux: 12% alc; 65 g/l RS; 4.9 gr/l total acidity. "With its green clay and its perfect exposition on the Première Côte de Vouvray just above the winery, Le Mont is an outstanding site for Chenin, and I have to admit often my favorite in the line-up.
