We've always liked the freshness and approachability of 'Gas Gas,' a wine that employs carbonic maceration to present a uniquely gulpable wine from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2025 is exceptionally delicious, less "carbonic" than previous vintages, with generous fruit and medium body. If you're a Beaujolais fan, definitely try this. If you're a Bordeaux fan, don't be afraid! The grapes come from sandy soils on top of clay, and Julien likes the idea of doing carbonic maceration with whole clusters to preserve all of the fresh fruit notes. -EL
