Apatia 2024 Irouleguy Rose Uda

This bright and zippy rosé is a blend of Tannat (75%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) planted on red sandstone and clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 150 meters. It is fermented and aged in stainless steel vats. It's a deeper rosé in color but shows great freshness with bracing acidity and herbal lift. It's more mineral and racy in style, with subtle strawberry fruit that comes through more as it opens up over the course of a few hours. While tasty now this could be an interesting candidate for short to medium term aging, with enough structure to last 3-5 years or more.
