Gamet NV Rive Driote Blanc de Noirs Brut

85% Pinot Meunier with 15% Pinot Noir, the base vintage is 2021 (60%) with the remainder being a blend of reserve wines dating back to 2014. The vines are 40-50 years old on sand with clay and limestone soil. The wine is fermented and aged in 10% oak with the rest in stainless steel before being aged 18 months on the lees. The nose carries beautiful red fruit and florals, in my notes from tasting this recently I wrote “just fun food champagne.”
