For our first taste of Rosalie Curtin's Pinot Noirs, this was a really nice introduction - a real wine of terroir - with structure and a lovely finish. There's balance between the perfectly ripe red fruit and the earthy notes, with trademark Mosel acidity running through the spine. Both clearly ageworthy for likely 5 years (give or take), it's also a Pinot that you can certainly enjoy now. We look forward to many vintages from this young and promising winemaker. Glückwunsch, Rosalie!   -EL

From Vom Boden website: "The name here comes from the site that Curtin farms in the village of Briedel (just upriver and around the bend from Zell, very close to Clemens Busch's Pünderich) - the vineyard is named "Herzchen," which would translate to, you guessed it, little heart. This is the more serious wine, deeper and more structured. The Herzchen is a very steep and very slatey site. This is a robust and clear Pinot.
