Brocard, Julien 2022 Chablis Boissoneuse

Julien began working alongside his father Jean-Marc Brocard in 1997. At the time the winery was using everything they could to combat disease, but Julien having learned about biodynamic farming believed that by imparting healthier farming practices he could in turn continue to combat disease and also get better grapes. Julien started farming the village level “Boissonneuse” vineyard biodynamically, he was the first to do so in Chablis. Over time Julien converted more and more vineyards to biodynamics and by 2012 he believed the vines were showing their fullest potential and that is when he launched his own label. 
I find year after year that this wine shows true purity of flavor for Chablis. Boissonneuse is a single holding 11 hectare plot with 30 year old vines that has been farmed organically since 1998. The wines are aged in large foudres for 10 months. The nose is full of minerality and bright citrus fruits and there is a long salty finish that will pair very well with seafood or just shine on its own.
