A blend of local grapes Azal and Loureiro, with light skin contact, giving this wine a light orange hue and subtle floral aromatics with a delicately textured mouthfeel. Great on its own or with a variety of snacks and appetizers.

Notes from the producer: These grapes come from Bojo do Luar’s own vineyards, which face west on a 40º steep hillside located on the left bank of the Tâmega River, in the district of Amarante, at the southeastern corner of the Vinho Verde region. The principles and practices of viticulture applied here include composting, biochar, topsoil support, and the cultivation of beneficial plants — all fostering self-sufficiency, sustainability, pollinators, and biological biodiversity in the vineyard and surrounding environment. The grapes are harvested by hand and, upon arrival at the cellar, are destemmed and transferred to amphorae (talhas) to begin fermentation and maceration. At this stage, ground chestnut flower is added (500 mg per 1,000 kg) and mixed into the must. The entire vinification process is very simple and involves minimal intervention. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally inside the amphorae, and by the end of January, the wine is ready to be pressed and bottled.
These two grape varieties have been part of the cultural and viticultural history of the region for at least
one thousand years. The area is home to many centuries-old monasteries, and the practice of using chestnut flower to stabilize wine is inherited from monastic winemaking traditions.
The wine is unfiltered and contains natural sediment in the bottle.
