This is a beautiful dry Chenin and an amazing expression of the soils of Vouvray, in this case clay with silex over the limestone bedrock. There is a touch of reduction on the nose, with a crystalline palate and chalky mineral flavors under hints of green apple, pear and lemon zest. The finish is long, silky and fine, with intense acidity and stone flavors lingering on the tongue.
