Note from winemaker Hannah Fuellenkemper: Blend of 1,000L Syrah and 200L Viognier, both grown by Thierry de Marne (Domaine de Ventajou), Minervois. Whole bunch Syrah macerated for 10 days. Assembled in May 2024 with direct press Viognier. A generous wine. Velvet sheen-smooth with a bright point of white. From day one easy drinking. Suspiciously so for a Syrah... Initially I wanted this to be part of the winter release to give it a head start on those extra months but it's stable, juicy, balanced, complete - very enjoyable now.

Name: "double pedal" (as in a double bass drum pedal) but spelled kool.

Bottled June 2024, no SO2, 12.8%. Certified organic, 20 year-old vines on sand and limestone.
