Open for Deliveries Only Beginning Monday, March 16th!

It has become clear that the most effective way to combat the spread of coronavirus during this critical early period is to practice effective social distancing. With that goal in mind, and to better protect our customers and staff, CSW will close its doors to the public beginning today, Sunday, March 15th. The store will remain open for business, for delivery orders only via phone and web, Mon - Sat, 11:00 AM to 7 PM and we will continue to make local, Manhattan, Brooklyn, NYS and out-of-state deliveries (where permitted by law). We will not permit pick-up at the store or entry into the store during this difficult period.

A limited number of CSW staff will be on hand to take your orders via phone (212-227-1434) or web. Please help us to make your delivery as efficient as possible by providing us with a cell-phone number and reliable delivery day and time. We will continue to offer free same-day delivery below Canal Street and we will offer free next-day delivery in Manhattan and Brooklyn with a $150 minimum and free FedEx delivery within New York State with a $200 minimum per case. Our staff will wear gloves at all times and bottles, bags and boxes with be cleaned before delivery. Deliveries will be made to your building in the safest way possible with the proper distancing. Packages will not be brought up to your apartment by stairs or elevator.
Our staff will be paid to work from home or stay at home as much as possible, with those staff members coming to the store arriving by foot, bicycle or mass-transit at off-peak hours. Obviously this is a work in progress and will change going forward to adapt to new conditions or state and city ordinances, and to preserve the health and safety of our staff.
Chambers Street Wines is internationally respected for the high quality of the wines we offer and for our support of those growers producing organic, Biodynamic and natural wines. But the real reputation of our store has always relied on the honest and enthusiastic interactions between our talented staff and our customers - we are sad to lose some of this personal contact but hope that this will contribute to limiting the spread of this pandemic.
