Book Signing for The Magpie's Guide to Montalcino - Wednesday October 30th, 5-7pm
We are looking forward to welcoming author Laura Gray, who will be signing her book: The Magpie's Guide to Montalcino. Laura has lived in Montalcino for many years, and thus is ideally placed to play the role of informational magpie, collecting history, anecdote, and local lore into this fascinating, charming, and frequently funny book. Not just another wine book, the Magpie's Guide displays Laura's intimate knowledge and deep affection for the small Tuscan town that's become internationally famous for its great wine (Brunello, that is!). I spent an amazing week in Montalcino last year, but I wish I had been able to read the Magpie's Guide beforehand, as it would have greatly enriched my visit. This book is a must for any lover of Tuscany, of Italian wine in general, and of Brunello and its wonderful town.
We are also proud to present the US debut of Senza Rete ("no safety net"), an hommage to traditional Tuscan winemaking by winemaker Maurizio Castelli and Gabriele Gorelli, Italy's first Master of Wine. Certified organic, fermented with indigenous yeasts, no SO2, unfiltered... all the good stuff! Please join us! -Jamie Wolff
