A Pinot Noir on very shallow and poor limestone clay soil, grown on the Zunzinger Rosenberg with a southwest exposure. This vineyard consists of mainly German clones, half of the plot is from Spätburgunder vines planted in the 1960s. Fermentation with a whopping ninety percent whole-cluster, in the beginning as a carbonic maceration and afterwards in a classic open vat fermentation with some punch downs. Aged in used French oak barrels for sixteen months, why not? -Vom Boden
