Vino Gross 2020 Gorca Blanc Haloze

5th generation South Styrian winemaker Michael Gross was entrusted to open the family's Slovenian winery across the border in 2004. Going further by farming organically, hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentations and extended lees contact, the Haloze Blanc is a lively, zingy blend of 40% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Furmint and 20% Welschriesling. With the same climate, terroir and varieties as in Styria, Vino Gross offers a panoply of white wines for half the price of it's northern neighbour. A fabulous find! GH
