Strekov 1075 2023 Natalia Pet Nat (Arrives 7/21)

Merlot grown on clay-loam topsoil on calcareous rock certified organic with zero substance use in the vineyard. Grapes are hand harvested and spontaneously fermented in stainless steel without temperature control. The wine is unfined and unfiltered, disgorged in 2024. The color is a strikingly vibrant hue that straddles the line between rose and red. I was delighted to find a nose of stone fruit and hard candy balanced with a tasteful amount of reduction. The palate is clean, matching the nose with the reduction showing as an herbal lift, the wine is delicious. Drink this straight from the fridge with friends at the park, or at your summer family barbecue. - KG
