Sommer, Leo 2022 Gruner Veltliner Ried Halser (Arrives 9/23)

55-60 year-old vines from a vineyard that is surrounded by forest on 3 sides and is planted on linestone soils. This wine spends a few days on the skins but it not characterized as an orange wine. It has a lovely structure with great concentration and depth. Warm citus and orchard fruit notes with underlying minerality. Even with the fruit notes, this still feels very savory with beautiful purity.
