Importer note from Palinkerie Imports: Kis Tamás is making small-production wines from his 8-hectare property on Somló, Hungary’s smallest and most distinctiveappellation. Hárslevelű has long been grown on Somló, and its honeyed, dried-fruit flavors are a great complement to the salty, savory qualities imparted by the terroir of the hill. Somlói Vándor’s Hárslevelű from 2024 is deep and juicy with herbs and spice, passion fruit and peach, and a touch of smoke on the nose and palate. Spontaneously fermented and aged in stainless steel (90%) and 500 L Hungarian oak (10%) for 9 months on the fine lees. Unfiltered, unfined.
