Punset 2016 Barbaresco Campo Quadro Riserva

Campo Quadro is a monopole vineyard for the estate, which is part of the larger San Cristoforo MGA. This is the highest parcel, the Bricco, of the cru at 475m, almost to the top of the appellation elevation limit.  Always the last to be harvested, and aged a year longer than the Basarin, sometimes more. The wine is austere by nature but after 9 years of refinement, in barrel and bottle, it's lines soften to reveal a profound and contemplative wine of extraordinary layers and depth. 

Punset is certified organic and practicing biodynamic or as fourth generation winemaker Maria Macarino calls it, "the agriculture of doing nothing".
