François' father was a Lieutenant that escaped occupied Poland in 1939. He fled to England where he met his future wife, a Burgundian woman working on an English army base. They married and raised François in Brussels, yet he spent his summers in Burgundy and fell in love with the lifestyle and vines, knowing one day he would make wine himself. In 1992 he inherited his first plots of Meursault and since then has been crafting elegant, powerful, wines of purity from the village.
Farmed with organic practices in two plots in Meursault on the boarder of Puligny-Montrachet. The vine age here is insane, having been planted between 1929-1948! The grapes are fermented with native yeast in stainless steel and age in that as well. There are notes of lemon peel and white flowers that pair beautifully with a strikingly bright refreshing palette.
