Larue 2024 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Murgers Des Dents de Chien
Murgers de Dents de Chien sits on the Northeastern corner of Saint-Aubin neighboring the Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Gain. This is Domaine Larue's largest Saint-Aubin 1er Cru holding at just 1.12 hectares. The vines were planted in 1946, 1964, 1972, 1990, and 1997 providing quite old vine age on average. The juice is fermented in barrel and is aged on the fine lees for 10-12 months in 25% new barrels. There is a touch of reduction on the wine but that is not it's whole personality. It has vibrant ripe fruit with a lovely balance of acidity and a slightly salty finish. It has texture and depth with plenty of length. This drinks well now and age beautifully for years to come.
