Lafouge, Jean et Gilles 2022 Auxey-Duresses Rouge

The 2022 Lafouge "village" Auxey-Duresses Rouge is a blend from Argillats, Heptures, Les Crais, Grandes Vignes, Hautés and Ecussaux (both south and northeast facing sites).  "A fresh if brooding nose reticently reveals aromas of both red and dark cherry, earth and pungent humus nuances. There is good volume and vibrancy to the delicious and succulent middleweight flavors that exude an attractive bead of minerality on the youthfully austere but only lightly rustic finale. This possesses good quality for its level and should repay short to mid-term cellaring." Burghound #94
