Jurij Fiore e Figlie 2024 Chianti Classico Sonocosi' A Lamole

We are thrilled to offer out the new and exceptional Chianti Classico from Jurij Fiore in Lamole, and at an incredible price through the weekend. With only 8 growers in Lamole, seeing a new one land in the US (and also from our friend and favorite importer of boutique Italian wines, Jan D'Amore) is an incredibly special day. Jurij left his native Greve, Chianti to train in the Cote d'Or throughout the 90's. After gaining a deeper understanding of parcellaire wines, he moved back home, but now peering at Lamole on the other side of the ridge. He would spend 10 years snapping up micro-parcels from this incredibly special, high-elevation zone of Chianti Classico before realizing his own estate. All of his vines are certified organic and trained in the traditional albarello. This wine is a blend of these vines, a mix of 30 and 60 years old, planted to sandy soils at 600 meters of elevation. Jurij destems his Sangiovese and ages it in concrete for 10 months before bottling. What an absolute stunning bottle of wine! It has the power and concentration of Sangiovese with a delicate, breezy quality, and bright acidity. Pomegranate, blood orange, raspberry, purple flowers, and a lovely almond skin character in the finish. Although new to the US just this week, this wine has quickly jumped into the pedigree of great Chianti Classico's on our radar for years to come!
