Hoppenot, Gregoire 2022 Fleurie Les Garants

When tasting with Gregoire just a month ago, he descibed Garants as the type of Fleurie he wants to be making- a more fuller structured style. Garants contants high density planting (10,000 vines/hectare) from a higher elevantion on very poor soils of shallow granite sand with granite bedrock and pure quartz on top. This wine is perfectly balanced with a bit more body and weight yet incredible freshness. There are notes of wild cherry and rose petals. Best served with a slight chill now and will continue to get better over time!
