Hammelmann, Lukas 2023 Riesling 'Wilhelm Friedrich' Grand Cru Trocken

Named in honor of his Grandfather, this is a Grand Cru site from Neustadt/Hambach up in the Haart mountains. Grown on Gneiss soils and aged for an additional year in barrel, goes through complete malolactic fermentation and is bottled unfiltered. 

This is a powerful Riesling with beautiful concentration of fruit like apricot and peach with a stoney minerality. This is just stunning, crazy elegant and focused. And it's quite rare for the top wine to be such a reasonable price!
