Jean-Philippe Fichet owns almost no vines, he has utilized long-term agreements in order to have his incredible lineup of Meursault lieu-dits. He spends an extraordinary amount of time in the vines, often daybreak to sunset every day, even during the offseason. His attention to deal in the vines translates to just as much attention in the cellar, adapting his work not just wine, to wine but based on each barrel. The resulting wines are textured, racy, and transparent.
Sourced primarily from vines in Meursault with 34 year old vines. The wine is fermented in barrel and tank before being aged in tank. The nose has beautiful notes of lemon and lime zest with a salty edge. It drinks incredibly smooth with a hint of waxiness and a fresh, salty finish. A fantastic representation of the grape that drinks so well!
