Garcia, Esmeralda 2022 SantYuste

Importer note from MFW Wine: "Emeralda’s desire was to create a Pueblo (village) wine, combining grapes from four different Paraje sites (El Carrascal + La Fuentecilla + Vallejo + Vayuste) in Santiuste de San Juan Bautista. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts, 70% in stainless steel tank and 30% in 500 liter dolia (Spanish clay amphora). After fermentation the wine was left to rest on its fine lees for nine months (70% in stainless, 30% in dolia), and then bottled without fining or filtration. No sulfites were added at any point." //

This is a fantastic introduction to the wines of Esmeralda Garcia, precise and chiseled, with a mineral core, beautiful over several days open. Subtle notes of dried herbs without any grit or herbaceous qualities. -EL
