Drago, Sergio 2022 Rosa (Rosato)

Sergio Drago is a neighbor and friend of Alessandro Viola in Sicily. Though that doesn't necessarily mean their wines would be similar in spirit, in this case it does! Drago works with minimal SO2, natural fermentations, farms without pesticides or herbicides, and produces authentic Sicilian wines that are primarily mineral driven and pure-fruited. This "Rosa" Rosato is a delicious, deep rosé from Nero D'Avola. Darker than most rosés, but also drier than most too! The subtle structure and savory flavors of the Nero D'Avola make for a rosé that has real presence on the palate. Great on its own and ideal for grilled fish, tuna steak, pasta salad, greek salad.... really any kind of salad.
