A blend from various sites in Wachenheim, including young vines from Premier crus. on clay, limestone, loam, and sand soils. Gentle pressing. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aging in stainless steel and Doppelstück wooden barrel.
This is a blend of declassified 1er cru, the wine jumps up a bit in richness from the Estate Riesling but there is fantastic ripeness of lemon and apple with electric acidity. Even with the warmer vintage the wine retains a smooth, crisp freshness.
