Domont, Axel 2022 Kilometre 0 Jacquere

Axel Domont was a member of the French national cycling team from 2013-2020, until an accident rendered him unable to continue his career as a cyclist. We don't know of anyone who transitioned this fluidly into making wine, likely because he was already interested in winemaking and has the help of Nicholas from Domaine des Cotes Rousses, but let's give him some credit! 2022 is his second vintage and this 100% Jacquere is delicious, chiseled but with nice mid-palate. An impressive and refreshingly Savoie expression! Fruit is purchased for the time being, only from organic vineyards. The wine is aged in old 600L barrels, with minimal addition of SO2.
