Casa Setaro 2025 Terramatta Aglianico Campania (Arrives 8/18)

This wine shows the more plump and drinkable side of Aglianico which is typically thought of as a more rugged grape variety. Setaro schieves this by de-stemming and then cold soaking for three days to extract color and flavor without tannins. A shorter maceration helps too. Think prickly, tingly blue and black fruit with the perfume of violets, and a woodsy tree bark note in the finish. Good with a slight chill, or at cellar temp.
