Azimut 2024 Brisat Orange
This is a blend of regional varietals including Parellada, Sumoll Blanc, Garnatxa Blanca, and Moscatell, coming from several different certified organic farmers that the Suriol family works with in the Penedès area. The grapes undergo natural fermentation with their own yeasts, 5 days on skins and then 3 months in underground concrete tanks. No filtration, fining or additives, just a bit of sulfur at bottling (max 30ppm). “Brisa” means pomace in Catalan, hence “Brisat” is the traditional term for skin-contact wines in the Penedés area. As Assís, the winemaker describes, this is all “texture, spices, fruit, laughter, hanging out." It's an easygoing and quaffable orange wine that's crowd-friendly but buzzing with personality!
