Weiser-Kunstler 2024 Enkircher Ellergrub Riesling Kabinett

Ellergrub is a top flight site, comprised of mostly blue and some grey slate soils, planted with very old, low-yielding, ungrafted vines. Alexandra and Konstantin farm about 1.4 hectares of this 4.3 hectare vineyard on blue slate soils. It was the first parcel that they acquired when they began their estate and is very special to the Weiser-Kunstler story. The palate is light, elegant, and gently sweet with stone fruit and tangerine notes and a hint of creaminess that enrobes a distinctly mineral core. The 2024 is very fresh with lovely balance - a young wine that is hiding a bit now but clearly has a special intensity that will give it a long life.
