Earlier this year, in May, we sent a newsletter entitled: Verdejo - Part I (click here to read it!). We discussed the wines from Manuel Cantalapiedra, Esmerelda Garcia, and Ismael Gozalo, specifically highlighting the Verdejo grape variety. As promised, we now offer Part 2, which focuses on the top whites from Ismael and Manuel which were not available at the time of the previous offer. Esmerelda's top whites are not on offer today, but we will invariably stock them again when the next vintage arrives!
Manuel Cantalapiedra's top whites have become some of the most sought-after white wines from Spain in a matter of years, found now on top restaurant lists in Spain and quickly purchased by those in the know here in New York. Ismael Gozalo's best Verdejos are exquisite, but produced in very small quantities. Both will be included in today's "Verdejo - Part II." PLEASE NOTE, there is a 2 bottle limit on La Otea and Chiviritero from Cantalapiedra.
