Chiorri 2024 Grante Rosso Umbria Sagrantino

Chiorri is represented now by Monica, the fifth generation running this Perugia based estate. While Sagrantino can be one of the most intense red wines in all of Italy, this quickly macerated example shows the other side of the Sagrantino spectrum. Dried orange, dried flowers, incense, earth, potpourri, and dark fruit all in a light bodied frame. This one of the most enjoyable and easygoing styles of Sagrantino out there and best of all, its imported by one of our favorite boutique Italian importers, Karen Ruocco of Five Flights!
