The 1.5 hectare 'Vigneto di Popoli' vineyard sits at 380 meters of elevation with stoney clay soils bring a nervy acidity and energy. My notes while tasting the wines in Italy are pear, elderflower, sweet corn, and salt. Laura Williamson who was guiding the tasting said 'celery salt', which I felt perfect captured this sweet, vegetal note in the finish!
